Frequently asked questions:
1. How long does it take for you to fix my problems?
It sometimes takes as little as an hour and as much as several visits. It really depends on what your particular challenges are and how much help you need and want.
2. How do you work?
I ask you to fill out the questionnaire; it gives me a good overall view of your interests, skills and the issues you are concerned with in your garden. If you can email me pictures before my visit of your areas of concern, it will help me preplan to a certain extent. Pictures will give me an idea of the breath and scope of the layout of your garden. After we walk the property and you tell me your areas of concern most of the time I can make recommendations to you right on the spot.
Occasionally I will have to do some research and email or call you with my findings. I take notes and perhaps even pictures, especially if you want more extensive gardening planning.
3. How will we meet?
After I have received your answers, I will contact you by phone and set an appointment convenient to us both. We will meet at your garden.
4. How do you charge for this service?
I charge $50.00 per hour with a one-hour minimum. If I need to travel more than 15 minutes my fee for travel time is $20 per hour.
5. Will I have all my answers when you leave?
I cannot promise you that you will have all the answers to the all the garden perplexities, but I will try and leave you will enough information and solutions to give you the confidence to forge ahead and work out some if not all of your specific questions.
6. What is the best reason for Garden Coaching?
The best thing about garden coaching is that you have an experienced gardener helping you solve problems specific to your yard. You have my undivided attention and the benefit of my many years of practice.
7. Will you take me shopping?
Yes, if you would like me to do that it is one of the most helpful aspects of garden coaching. Knowing which plants to choose for your specific garden and knowing how to select healthy nursery stock is one of the most important things we can do together.
8. Will you plant my garden?
I will give you the expertise to make the right decisions about what flowers to plant and where to site your plants. One of the subjects I cover is how to plant. We will spend time together learning the do’s and don’ts.
